Glass temple, JB Centre
Pick up group at 7.30am from second link to Johor Bahru town centre. Proceed to the temple which is only a 1km from the heart of Johor Bahru town.The temple was initially built in 1922, on a land given to the temple by the generous Sultan of Johor and needed a major makeover.
Sri Muniswarar temple, Skudai
Is said to be more than 100 years old was recognized even before the Japanese occupation in Malaysia. After the Japanese left Malaya, this temple was erected by an individual person named Mr. Subrayan in 1948.
Sri Subramaniam, Tampoi
Foundation of the temple was laid by the M.I.C. National President Tun V.T. Sambanthan on 25-8-1968, and the Kumbabishegam was done on 20-1-1969 on a grand scale. The temple was initiated in 1994 at J.K.R. quarters, Jalan Kolam Air by a plumber who was later well-known as Sri Sankaran Swami.
Arulmigu Thandayuhapanu Kuil
It is the first murugan temple in the state of Johor Bahru, existed in the year between in 1913 and 1917 which began as a small estate shrine. The first kumbabishegam was held in 1958.
Arulmigu Senthil Murugan Kovil
It was initiated by the late Arulthiru S. Baskaran Pillay and his wife the late Mrs. Kupu, the founders of the Temple. Late Arulthiru S. Baskaran Pillay was born in Kerala, India in 1924 and migrated to Malaya at the age of 17 by joining the British Army. Later he married the late Ms. Kupu from Muar and settled down in Johor Bahru. In his childhood he attended Sanskrit School where he learned Spiritual knowledge and Traditional Healing.
Dewa Sri Vinayagar Siva Sakthi temple
It is a very unique and one of the historical temples in Johor Bharu. The temple was originally found with a lone rock formed naturally looks a like an elephant which believed to be 'Lord Ganesh's' form.
Sri Subramanian Temple
This was erected by Mr. Srilal Sangaran Swamy in 1944. He was serving the Johor state water works department as an ordinary labourer. He was given a government quarters, where he erected a small Murugan temple.
Arulmigu Sri Maha Veera Bathra Kaaliamman Temple
This temple is quite an old temple which recently went through a major renovation.
