Day 01 Cochin/Alleppey Houseboat (-)
Upon arrival at Cochin airport, our representative will pick-up and transfer to Alleppey. Check into Houseboat at 12 noon.
Houseboat is an ingeniously developed and designed private boat with fully furnished spacious bath attached bed rooms, hygiene kitchen, dining area and private front deck to capture the beauty of the back waters. The cruise through palm fringed narrow canals, the unique life of the backwater people and above all the nature around you will make long lasting impressions in your mind.
Upon check-in, you will be welcome with fresh tender coconut water and start cruise after a short introduction, relax and enjoy the canals and rivers and backwater, at 13:30 hrs houseboat lunch will be served, with lavish menu of traditional Kerala cuisine (if your require any special meals like north Indian food or without spice etc, it has to be informed in advance).
Continue cruising, covering beautiful rivers and canals with palm trees and small houses near riverbanks, villages paddy fields, churches, etc. (Optional: Stopover at the riverside Massage centers for an hour.You can also stop over for a leisure Ice cream at the riverside corner before or after the massage). The houseboat will anchor at 18:00 hrs (6.00pm) till next day morning 07:30.
You can also get a chance to walk along the riverside or villages and come back to houseboat for dinner. Enjoy your Houseboat Dinner. Alternatively, you can have a choice to buy fresh prawns or crab or fish (karimeen) from local fishermen along the riverside stalls, the Chef will prepare your preferred dinner. Overnight in floating paradise.
Day 02 Alleppey/Cochin (B)
Enjoy the sunrise at 06:30sm. Have breakfast at houseboat at 08:00 hrs, check out from houseboat at 09:00 hrs with an everlasting beautiful memory. After breakfast at Houseboat, check out from Houseboat. Drive to Cochin for sightseeing, where the Arabs, British, Chinese, Dutch, and Portuguese have left indelible marks on the history and development of Cochin. Now, Cochin has emerged as the commercial and industrial capital of Kerala and is perhaps the second most important city on the west coast of India after Mumbai/Bombay.
Old Cochin, starting with the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese and presented to Veera Kerala Varma (1537-65), Raja of Kochi, in 1555 AD.
Proceed to the nearby Paradesi, means "foreigners Synagogue or the Jewish Synagogue.(Synagogue means Church) constructed in 1568 by the Malabari Jews, trading community of Kerala who controlled worldwide spice trade. Stroll around the antique shops in the meandering alleys of Jew town Town since migrated to Israel.
Pazhayannur Bhagavathy Temple, the ancestral deity or Paradevata of the Cochin Royal Family, built in 1568 and is one of the oldest synagogues, Jew Town, Spice Market where the air is filled with the smell of spices.
Chinese fishing nets at Fort Kochi, a popular tourist attraction with unusual method of fishing, set up on bamboo and teak poles and held horizontally by huge mechanisms, which lower them into the sea, the origin in China introduced by the Chinese explorer, Zheng, from the court of Chinese Emperor, Kublai Khan.
Kathkali dance and the display of martial arts and concerts on Indian classical music. This center also has an art gallery where exhibitions are organized from 8AM to 8PM. Dinner and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Cochin.
Day 03 Alleppey/Munnar (Tea Garden and Hill station) (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Munnar, famous hill stations. Cheeyappara waterfalls and Valara water falls on the way. Check into the hotel. Visit some other interesting places nearby hotel.
Pothemedu view point, International blossom park, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Photo point, Tea' museum, Rajamala and Eravikulam National Park, house of the highly endangered mountain goats - the Nilgiri Thars etc.
Speed boating optional and plantation optional. Transfer to hotel. Overnight at Munnar.
Day 04 Munnar/Thekkady/Periyar (wild life/Spice plantation) (B)
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Thekkady in the morning, famous river named Periyar, Tiger reserve and sanctuary one of the best preserved sanctuaries of India. Check into hotel, refresh and relax.
Periyar Wildlife sanctuary, a National Park. Boating is the only way to view the wildlife in Periyar National Park. (Plantation tour, Elephant Rides, Bullock cart ride, Kathakali dance-show, Trekking, Bamboo drafting, Tribal Village visit etc - optional). Overnight at Thekkady.
Day 05 Thekkady/Cochin/Departure (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Cochin Airport for late evening flight.
