Day 01              Arrive Delhi/Agra (250km/ 4 hrs)               (-) 


Arrive Delhi airport and proceed to Agra. Drive through one of the best highways of India, the Yamuna Expressway.

Reach Agra by evening, transfer to hotel, check in and take a short walk to the Yamuna river bank to watch the night view of Taj Mahal.

Watch the light and sound show in Agra Fort in the evening. Have dinner and walk back to hotel. Overnight in Agra.


Day 02             Taj Mahal/Shilpagram                                                                                                               (B) 


Visit the Taj Mahal as early as 6.30am, the epitome of love. Spend a few hours around the monument. Transfer to hotel for breakfast before 10.30am. 


​Visit  the Shilpagram, a crafts village near Agra. It is an open-air emporium showcasing various artifacts. Have lunch and shop for  leather goods, crafts, rugs, fine embroidered suits, brassware, lamps, metalware, fine peitra dura work and carpets. Have dinner and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Agra. 


Day 03             Agra/Jhansi  250km drive/5 hrs                                                              (B) 


After breakfast, check out and drive to Jhansi. Transfer to hotel, check in, freshen up and visit the magnificent Jhansi fort or Jhansi ka Kila, a fortress situated on a large hilltop called Bangira, in Uttar Pradesh.

There are temples of Lord Shiva and Lord  Ganesha within the fort, the Karak Bijli and Bhawani Shankar cannon of the queen and a  museum which provides an insight into the history of Bundelkhand. Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Jhansi. 

Day 04            Khajuraho/Orcha/175kmM/3.5 hours)                                                                                        (B)

 

After breakfast, check out and drive to Khajuraho. Visit the temple of Khajuraho. 

The Khajuraho Group of Monuments is a group of Hindu, Buddhist and Jain temples. They are one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites  in India. It is famous for the sculptures on the walls of the temples, depicting  the  love  and passion in human relationships. 


Only about 20 temples remain, they fall into three district groups  and  strike a perfect balance between  architecture and sculpture. The Temple  of Kandariya is decorated with a profusion of sculptures that are among the greatest masterpieces of Indian art. Visit Lakshmana Temple, Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Temple, Devi Jagadambi Temple, Javari Temple Temple, Chaturbhuj Temple and Vamana Temple.  


Next, proceed to Orchha, to see the ancient and beautiful monuments dating back to one thousand years. Visit the Phool Bagh, is a  stunning  garden in Orchha  that represents the rich artistic sense of the royal rulers of the Bundelkhand dynasty.

Orchha fort complex, it is the only place in country where Lord Rama is worshiped as a king and not as a god. Laxminarayan Temple,it displays a perfect and unique mix of temple and fort architecture. Though the temple is dedicated the Goddess Laxmi, there is no idol of the Goddess kept inside the temple. Raja Ram Temple, the Palace turned temple with its mesmerizing evening Aarti stands out among all the other Hindu pilgrimages. Here Lord Rama is revered not as a God but as a king, contrary to what the name reflects it’s a Palace not a Temple.Transfer to hotel, check in. Overnight in Khajuraho.


Day 05             Khajuraho/Varanasi                                                                                                                                 (B) 


After breakfast, check out and drive to Varanasi which is about a 9 hours journey to adventure the holy city


Transfer to hotel, check in. Free and easy. Overnight in Varanasi.

Day 06            Boating on river Ganges/Heritage Walk in Varanasi                                                                            (B)


After breakfast, proceed to enjoy a boat ride across the river Ganges. 

​Take a walk on the streets of Varanasi (Old Banaras). Also, visit Kashi Vishwanath temple or Golden Temple.

Next, proceed to Sarnath to get the glimpses of  Buddhist monuments and edifices covering Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Sarnath Museum and Mulagadha Kuti Vihar. 

In the evening, witness the grand Aarti ceremony performed by several priests  on the banks of River Ganges. You will get to hear the majestic blended sound of Sanskrit mantras, drums, bells and cymbals.  Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Varanasi. 


Day 07             Varanasi/Bagdogra                                                                                                                         (B) 


After breakfast, check out and transfer to airport, heading to Bagdogra from Varanasi. Transfer to hotel, check in. Free and easy. 

Bagdogra is a small  town located in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, offers views of the eastern Himalayan Mountains.


The  Teesta  River  flows  close  by  this town, which offers water activities such as river rafting and fishing. After strolling around the surrounding area, walk back to the hotel. Overnight in Bagdogra.

Day 08              Bagdogra/Phuentsholing/4 hrs drive                                                                                                         (B) 


After breakfast, check out and drive to Phuentsholing, a border town of Southern Bhutan, the only remaining Buddhist Himalayan Kingdom in the world. Transfer to hotel, check in.


​Visit   the  Kharbandi  Gompa (Rinchending)  built by  the  Royal  Grandmother in 1967 as her winter residence.The view of Phuentsholing town from the temple and the plains below is excellent. 


Zangtopelri  temple situated at the centre of the  town is another place that might interest you. 


​The  latest  addition Palden Tashi Choling Tsu Lakhang, a shedra (monastic school) with fine murals and a nice setting is worth a visit.


Transfer to hotel,Free and easy . After making the Inner Line Permit. Overnight in Phuentsholing.


Day 09                Phuentsholing/Paro/50km /2hrs      (B) 


After early breakfast, check out and proceed to Paro, situated on the river banks of Mo Chhu and Pa Chhu, a scenically blessed town with many historically significant sites. 


​Transfer to hotel, check in.  Explore the markets of Paro or simply enjoy the serenity of Paro which holds the lingering essence of its regal past. Walk back to hotel. Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 10                 Paro Local Sightseeing                                                                                                                                      (B) 


After breakfast, be ready for sightseeing in Paro. Proceed to Taktsang Monastery, the most prominent attraction of Paro, a monastery built on the Cliffside of Paro and takes a two-hour trek to reach the hilltop. You can either choose to trek or ride on a pony to reach this Cliffside Monaster and is best known for offering an outstanding view of Paro valley. 


Next proceed to National Museum of Bhutan, built within the Conch-shaped building of Ta Dzong, known for housing rare artifacts which date backs to early 2nd century. 

After lunch, proceed to Rinpung Dzong famously known as Paro Dzong, listed  under the  tentative  sites  of  UNESCO.

Behind the white washed wall of  Paro  Dzong is the most sacred artifact of Bhutan the Thondrol of Guru Rinpoche. Transfer to hotel. Free and easy. Overnight in Paro. 


Day 11                Haa Valley/Chelela Pass                                                                                                                            (B) 

After early breakfast, check out, proceed to Haa Valley, spread over an area of 1706sq km. The 3 hrs journey towards Haa Valley  is one of the most picturesque places of the Bhutanese Kingdom. 

After covering 49km you will come across the highest motorable point in Bhutan, Chelela Pass, perched at an altitude 4200mt, from  Chelela Pass you can witness the most amazing view of Mt Chomolhari  and Jichu Darkey.

Continue your  journey towards Haa Valley and after covering 22km you will reach Haa Valley. It is an ideal place for finding peace and going on a short trek. After adorning the scenic beauty of Haa Valley, drive to Paro.  Transfer to hotel, check in,  free and easy. Overnight in Paro. 

Day 12               Paro/Thimpu                                                                                                                          (B)


After early breakfast, check out proceed 3hrs drive towards ThimphuTransfer to hotel, check in, freshen up and visit the Memorial Chorten, built to commemorate the memory of 3rd Drukpa Gyalpo. 

Next, drive to Mothitang Takin Preserve, home of Takin, the national animal of Bhutan. Early morning is the best time to visit the preserve as Takin comes near the fences to eat their food. 


Proceed to the BBS Tower where you will get a panoramic vista of Thimphu City. Later, visit the National Textile Museum. Here you can learn to try on  the traditional Bhutanese dress Gho and Kera.   


After lunch,  visit  the  famous Thimphu  Dzong,  located  along  the  river banks of Wang Chhu, with its grandiose architecture and ancient artifacts.


The Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park, the magnificent statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, known as Buddha Dordenma, the View Point has become the iconic landmark of Thimphu. Transfer to hotel . Overnight in Thimphu.


 

Day 13               Thimpu/Punakha     (B)

 

After breakfast check out and drive 4-5hrs journey to Punakha, the first capital of Bhutan. Stop by at Dochula Pass just to enjoy the panoramic  view  of  some of  the  most beautiful   and   spectacular  Himalayan Mountains. Transfer to hotel, check in. Overnight in Punakha

Day 14                Punakha/Phuentsholing                                                                                                          (B)


After early breakfast  check out and drive 7-8hrs journey to Phuentsholing

On the return journey you can make a quick stop in Dochula to embrace the untainted beauty of snowcapped mountains guarding Bhutan. The distance between Punakha to Phuentsholing is 240km.

Transfer to hotel check in. Free and easy the rest of the day to stroll in the market place to buy some souvenirs. Overnight in Phuentsholing.

  

Day 15                 Drop off at Bagdogra Airport                                                                             (B) 


After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Bagdogra. Relish the beauty of the astounding landscape of Phuentsholing while bidding farewell to the mystical land of Bhutan. Transfer to airport . Departure to onward destination.
