Day 01 Arrive Kuching (-)


Upon arrival at the Kuching airport, meet and greet our guide, and transfer to your hotel. Free and easy at own leisure. Overnight in Kuching.


Day 02 Bako National Park (B/L)


After breakfast, proceed for Bako National Park. Our guide will pick you up 0750-0810 hours pick up from hotel in Kuching.


Bako National Park is situated on a peninsula on the coast and the departure point for trips to the park is Bako village, 35 minutes drive from Kuching. From the village, proceed by boat for approximately 25 minutes to the park headquarters. En route there is a chance to see crocodiles, sea eagles and other shore birds. Arrive at the park HQ and begin exploring the trails and searching for wildlife. It is one of the best places in Sarawak to see wildlife in a natural setting. In Bako, the Borneo endemic proboscis monkeys, silvered langurs (monkeys), long-tailed macaques, wild boar, monitor lizards and numerous species of birds are commonly spotted. It has an impressive range of forest types from mangrove to kerangas (heath forest), tropical swamp vegetation, cliff vegetation and beach vegetation. It's spectacular coastline is dotted with small bays, coves and beaches. Return to Kuching mid-afternoon. Overnight in Kuching.

Day 03 Semenggoh Orangutan (B/L/D)


After early breakfast, at 8.00am, proceed to Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, overland journey to Peraya Bidayuh village. Upon arrival, meet your host family and settle in to your accommodation. Have lunch then take a walk through the village. Visit the head of the house where the villagers keep skulls from the headhunting era. Upon arrival, take a short walk along a trail to the feeding area to watch the orangutans come down from the trees for a free meal. Over 20 orangutans live in forest within the nature reserve and often return to the centre at feeding times.


The Bidayuh or Land Dayak are the second largest Dayak tribe in Sarawak. Traditionally they lived in longhouses but today most Bidayuh settlements are villages with individual houses rather than longhouses. Continue your walk, passing farmland and jungle before reaching a picturesque waterfall. Take a dip in the cool waters before returning to the homestay. Relax and enjoy a Bidayuh-style dinner. Overnight at Peraya homestay.

Day 04 Bamboo Rafting/ Kuching (B/L)


After breakfast, our guide will give you a short safety briefing board about traditional bamboo rafts and start rafting down the rainforest-lined river. Our guide will navigate a series of mini rapids and proceed downriver. If you wish, you can join in and help guide the raft along the river. Stop at a picturesque pebble beach. Here our guides will prepare lunch, set up a BBQ and cook a range of local dishes in bamboo tubes. Join your guide and search for edible jungle products such such ferns or bamboo shoots. After lunch return to the homestay to collect your bags and return to Kuching. Free and easy till dinner. Overnight in Kuching.


Day 05 Kuching/Depart (B)


After breakfast, and check out from the hotel. Our guide will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your onward destination.
